Job summary

Watford-based school seeks a technically capable IT Support Technician to maintain reliable classroom technology and support staff and pupils.

You will respond to IT requests, troubleshoot hardware and software, set up devices, manage user accounts and keep records up to date.

Ideal candidates have school IT experience, strong Windows and Microsoft 365 knowledge, and excellent communication skills; enhanced DBS check required.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT support or helpdesk is essential.
• School-based IT experience is highly desirable.
• Good knowledge of Windows OS and Microsoft 365.
• Able to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users.
• Enhanced DBS check required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to IT support requests from staff and pupils.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, printer and connectivity issues.
• Set up and maintain laptops, desktops and classroom equipment.
• Assist with user accounts, permissions and password resets.
• Maintain accurate records of IT issues, repairs and equipment.
• Support installation and updating of software and devices.
• Escalate complex technical problems to the appropriate provider or senior IT staff.
