Job summary

Oxford Health in Oxfordshire is seeking a part-time Healthcare Support Worker to join the School Aged Immunisation Service in East Oxford Health Centre. The role is 22.5 hours per week, term-time only, with flexibility across the City and south of Oxfordshire.

You will support the immunisation team with administrative tasks and vaccine administration under supervision, travel to schools, and ensure data confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Evidence of Level 3 Healthcare Support Worker education/training.
• Experience supporting vaccination or immunisation programmes where applicable.
• Strong administration and clinical skills with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Support the School Aged Immunisation team with organising and delivering the programme.
• Attend immunisation sessions in schools and clinics and administer Flu vaccines under supervision.
• Observe students post-vaccination for adverse reactions and ensure patient safety.
• Liaise with schools and families to arrange sessions and obtain informed consent where applicable.
• Storage, transport and delivery of vaccines and equipment; ensure proper disposal of sharps and confidentiality of records.
