Job summary

Wimbledon High School GDST is seeking an enthusiastic ICT First Line Technician to provide frontline support to staff and students, under supervision. You will diagnose routine faults, install hardware and software, and help maintain the school’s technology services.

The role offers hands-on experience across a broad range of technologies in a collaborative ICT team. This is a full-time post (term-time considered) with a competitive salary and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service, helpdesk or entry-level ICT support.
• Organised, approachable, eager to learn with strong communication and a solutions-focused attitude.
• Able to work through routine issues independently and follow established procedures.
• Opportunities to gain hands-on experience across a broad range of technologies in a collaborative ICT team.

Responsibilities

• Manage helpdesk tickets, diagnose and resolve routine technical faults.
• Install and configure hardware and software; support Windows and Apple devices.
• Assist with maintenance, upgrades and equipment repairs; support printers and AV equipment.
• Refer more complex issues to senior ICT colleagues and follow guidance.
• Ensure support requests are handled efficiently and contribute to smooth running of technology services.
