Job summary

Orton Wistow Primary School within Meridian Trust seeks a proactive Site Officer to maintain a safe, clean, and secure learning environment. You will act as a key-holder out of hours and support colleagues across local sites as needed.

You will manage maintenance tasks, coordinate contractors, handle helpdesk requests, and uphold safety standards while using the BMS and iAMCompliant tools to keep facilities running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Hands-on maintenance and repair experience across buildings, furniture, and equipment.
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety best practices and risk assessments.
• Experience coordinating external contractors and ensuring safe, compliant work.

Responsibilities

• Ensure premises are tidy, safe, and secure for learning.
• Be a focal point for health and safety, completing risk assessments and inspections.
• Manage external contractors and ensure compliance with safeguarding policies.
• Respond to Helpdesk requests via maintenance software (iAMCompliant).
• Operate Building Management System (BMS) to run buildings efficiently.
• Carry out maintenance work within handyperson scope and liaise with Estates Area Manager.
