Job summary

Horizon Academy Trust seeks a proactive Multi-Site Senior Site Facilities Officer to support Bilton and Hedon Primary Schools. You will oversee maintenance across two sites, manage statutory compliance, and coordinate contractors to ensure safe, well-maintained environments for pupils and staff.

The role involves acting as the primary site operations lead, supervising cleaning staff, and ensuring alarms and security systems are in place after hours.

Qualifications

• Experience as a facilities professional in schools.
• Ability to coordinate maintenance across multiple sites.
• Experience managing contractors and RAMS.
• Line manage cleaning staff and appraisals.
• Commitment to health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop, schedule and execute a synchronised preventive maintenance plan across both school sites to minimise disruption to educational activities.
• Ensure both school sites and premises are physically secured at the end of school operational hours, including setting alarms and security systems.
• Perform practical site maintenance, basic repairs, grounds work and emergency cleaning duties across both sites as required.
• Act as the primary site operational lead collaborating directly with the Central Estates Manager and Compliance and Operations Manager.
• Monitor external contractor delivery on both sites, validating RAMS, issuing permits to work, and ensuring adherence to Trust H&S standards.
• Directly line manage, schedule and conduct appraisals for cleaning staff across both school sites.
