Job summary
Merritts Brook Primary E-ACT Academy in England is seeking a Senior Site Officer to deliver a comprehensive facilities service across premises security, lighting, heating, cleaning, and general maintenance. You will oversee contractors and coordinate day-to-day site operations to ensure the academy’s environment is safe and well-maintained.
The role requires experience in caretaking, a relevant trade qualification or willingness to work towards one, and an IOSH/Health & Safety qualification.
Qualifications
- Maths and English GCSEs or equivalent, and willingness to work towards
- Relevant maintenance or trade qualification or willingness to work towards
- IOSH or recognised Health & Safety qualification
- Experience of caretaking and cleaning duties
Responsibilities
- Carry out routine maintenance tasks including plumbing, joinery, painting and basic electrical work
- Maintain academy security, alarms and liaise with security services
- Oversee contractors on site and ensure work meets required standards
- Organise day-to-day tasks and act as main site contact when Estates partner is unavailable
- Report to Estates Business Partner on health, safety and compliance
