Job summary

Alder Brook, part of the LINK Education Trust in Salford, is seeking a Site Officer to maintain a safe, secure and welcoming environment for pupils, staff and visitors at the SEND school and PRU.

You will manage routine maintenance, oversee contractors, support events and ensure health and safety compliance to keep the site fit for purpose. The post requires independence, reliability and a commitment to safeguarding; it is subject to a fully enhanced DBS check.

Qualifications

• Experience in school/site maintenance or facilities management.
• Ability to work independently and use initiative.
• Strong understanding of health and safety requirements.
• Organised, reliable and proactive.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the security of the school buildings and grounds.
• Carry out routine maintenance, repairs and site inspections.
• Manage contractors and oversee site-related works.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Maintain the cleanliness, safety and appearance of the school site.
• Support the school with setting up rooms and facilities for events and activities.
• Respond promptly to maintenance issues and emergencies as required.
