Job summary

Meridian Trust is looking for a Site Officer to maintain and secure school premises, coordinating health and safety across the site and supporting colleagues across Trust sites when required.

The role involves hands-on maintenance, managing contractors, and using Iamcompliant and BMS systems to ensure a safe working environment for staff and pupils. A commitment to safeguarding and reliability is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service is essential.
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety best practices.
• Ability to work across multiple school sites when required.
• Competence with IT equipment and systems.
• Experience in managing external contractors and service vendors.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the premises are clean, tidy and in good repair to provide a safe learning environment.
• Act as a focal point for health and safety, completing risk assessments and workplace inspections.
• Manage external contractors ensuring safe work practices align with safeguarding policies.
• Respond to Helpdesk requests for maintenance via the Iamcompliant system.
• Operate the Building Management System (BMS) to run buildings efficiently.
• Carry out maintenance and repairs within the capabilities of a competent handyperson.
• Respond promptly to Iamcompliant Helpdesk requests from building occupiers.
