Job summary

Orton Wistow Primary School is seeking a Site Officer to safeguard and maintain the school premises, furniture, fittings and equipment. The role is 25 hours per week, year-round, Monday to Friday with shifts 6am-11am or 1pm-6pm, and you would be a key-holder outside hours.

You will work under the Estates Area Manager, coordinate with contractors, monitor health and safety, and help keep the learning environment secure and well maintained across the Trust's sites when required.

Qualifications

• Highly motivated, calm, and professional.
• Experience of customer service.
• Flexible with high professional standards.
• Able to build and sustain excellent working relationships.
• Can use IT equipment, especially computers.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the premises are tidy, safe, and secure.
• Be a focal point for health and safety; complete risk assessments and inspections.
• Manage external contractors; ensure safe, safeguarding-compliant work.
• Respond to Helpdesk maintenance requests via iAMCompliant.
• Operate the Building Management System (BMS) effectively.
• Carry out maintenance and repairs within handyman scope.
