About the Role:

We are looking for a reliable and proactiveCaretakerto help maintain the safety, cleanliness, and smooth running of our school site. You’ll play a key role in ensuring that the school environment is safe, secure, and well-maintained for pupils, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  Open and close the school premises each day

  
  


• 
  

  Conduct regular security and safety checks (including fire alarms and emergency lighting)

  
  


• 
  

  Carry out minor repairs and maintenance (e.g. basic plumbing, painting, joinery)

  
  


• 
  

  Monitor cleaning standards and ensure grounds are kept tidy

  
  


• 
  

  Liaise with contractors and supervise works as required

  
  


• 
  

  Assist with setting up furniture and equipment for events and classroom use

  
  


• 
  

  Ensure safe storage of tools, materials, and cleaning supplies

  
  


• 
  

  Support in managing site health & safety compliance (e.g. COSHH, risk assessments)

  
  

Candidate Requirements:

  Previous caretaking, site maintenance, or facilities management experience (school setting desirable)
