Job summary

Education Authority seeks a Catering Assistant to support daily operation of the school catering unit. You will work under the Senior/Unit Catering Supervisor, participating as part of a team to provide a hygienic, efficient service and contribute to pupil satisfaction and meal sales.

Key duties include basic food prep, simple cooking, serving meals, maintaining dining areas, and complying with safety and legal requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining contact with central kitchen on service delivery.
• Preparing dining area and setting tables and serving points.
• Cleaning and washing up and clearing equipment.
• Cleaning kitchen/servery and dining areas.
• Recording temperatures for control purposes.
• Ensuring premises are secured and duties are carried out.
• Complying with laws, codes of practice and working conditions.
• Completing administrative duties and applying tasks across related roles.
