Job summary

Education Authority seeks a Catering Assistant to support daily operations in the school catering unit. You will assist with food preparation, basic cooking, serving meals, and maintaining dining areas to ensure a clean and efficient service for pupils.

Responsibilities

• Basic preparation of food and beverages, including vegetables and snacks.
• Simple cooking and reconstitution of prepared food.
• Organising and controlling food service points.
• Transferring and serving meals and snacks, including transported meals.
• Promoting meals to pupils, parents and principal.
• Maintaining contact with central kitchen regarding service delivery.
• Prepare dining area and set tables, cutlery, and serving points.
• General kitchen and dining room duties including washing up and cleaning.
