Job summary

Education Authority is seeking a Building Supervisor (with supervision) at St Brigid's Primary School Ballymena. The post is permanent, 36 hours weekly with a split shift (7:40am–11:30am and 2:25pm–6:00pm).

You will supervise cleaning staff, manage security, and ensure the premises are safe and well maintained. The role includes opening/closing the site, monitoring alarms, and coordinating routine maintenance while reporting issues to the School Principal.

Qualifications

• Minimum six months' demonstrable experience as building supervisor, caretaker, or cleaner in a school environment.
• Experience supervising staff and being a key holder prepared to respond to call-outs.
• Ability to open/close premises, secure building, and monitor security systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee security and safety of the premises and contents, and report faults.
• Open/close the school, manage keys, and supervise cleaning staff when appropriate.
• Direct cleaning operations, monitor energy use, and ensure Health and Safety compliance.
• Plan and coordinate work, prepare reports, and liaise with the School Principal.
