Job summary

Education Authority (Northern Ireland) is seeking a Building Supervisor (with supervision) to provide on-site supervision, security, cleaning and related services under the direction of the School Principal. The role requires handling key holder duties and supervising support staff as required.

Responsibilities include security of premises, operation of alarms, basic maintenance oversight, coordinating cleaning and porterage tasks, and ensuring compliance with Health and Safety policies within

Qualifications

Have a minimum of six months’ demonstrable experience working in a school environment as an assistant building supervisor and/or building supervisor and/or caretaker and/or cleaner
Have experience of supervising staff
As a key holder, be prepared to respond to call outs at short notice, including during unsociable hours

Responsibilities

Security of the premises and its contents.
Open and close the premises and grounds, ensure doors/windows/locks secure.
Operate and monitor security camera system and alarms.
Attend after-hour break-ins and vandalism; coordinate cleaning when required.
Report any breaches of security to the line manager.
Operate and monitor mechanical and electrical systems; monitor fuel and utilities.
