Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for visitors, parents, and external agencies, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment.
- Manage telephone calls, emails, and enquiries efficiently and courteously.
- Maintain accurate pupil records and support with data entry into the school’s management systems.
- Assist with attendance monitoring, including liaising with parents and staff.
- Provide general administrative support to senior leaders, teaching staff, and other departments.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail, deliveries, and school communications.
- Ensure safeguarding and visitor procedures are followed at all times.
- Support the coordination of school events, meetings, and appointments.
Person Specification
- Previous experience in administration or a school office environment
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and school management systems (SIMS/Arbor experience).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, multitask, and prioritise workloads.
- A friendly, professional, and approachable manner with a strong commitment to confidentiality and safeguarding
