Job summary

Home Group Limited is seeking a Scheme Manager for our retirement living community. You will oversee building safety, deliver excellent customer service, and support residents to live independently in their own homes.

The role focuses on safeguarding, coordinating repairs, and maintaining welcoming communal areas. You will work with contractors, manage budgets and invoicing, and signpost residents to care and welfare services.

Qualifications

• A passion for providing excellent customer service and building relationships with customers from diverse backgrounds.
• Knowledge of health and social issues affecting older people.
• Experience in safeguarding and conducting risk assessments.
• Ability to collaborate with different partners and manage accounts, budgets and invoicing.

Responsibilities

• Manage the retirement scheme on behalf of residents, ensuring buildings are safe, secure and meet safety standards.
• Provide visibility on the scheme, engage with customers, respond to calls and maintain a welcoming environment.
• Ensure communal areas are clean, safe and social spaces are well-maintained.
• Work with partner contractors for repairs and maintenance; help source local suppliers as needed.
• Signpost customers to relevant services to support welfare and independence.

This is a great job opportunity for you to join our leasehold retirement team as our Scheme Manager. Youll ensure the smooth running of our retirement community by managing our buildings and ensuring our customers are always supported to live independently in their own home.

What you'll do

• Managing the scheme on behalf of our residents, ensuring that our buildings are safe, secure and meet required safety standards.
• Providing visibility on the scheme, engaging with customers, responding to calls and providing a warm, safe and welcoming environment.
• Ensuring communal areas are clean, safe and welcoming. Although our customers live independently, they like to get together regularly to socialise in our wonderful communal spaces.
• Working with partner contractors for any repairs and maintenance works required in communal living areas. You might also support sourcing suitable local suppliers.
• Signposting customers to relevant services to support their welfare and make a difference to their lives.

You have

• A passion for providing excellent customer service being able to build great relationships with customers from all different backgrounds.
• Knowledge of the health and social issues that affect older people.
• Some experience in safeguarding and carrying out risk assessments.
• Able to work collaboratively with different partners.
• Strong administrative skills being able to manage accounts, budgets and invoicing for any repairs to our buildings, communal areas and gardens.

The practical bits

• The role is generally Monday to Friday, with some flexibility and no on-call or out-of-hours duties.
• You must be able to use technology for updating records, completing online learning and collaborating with other colleagues.
• Youll need an Enhanced DBS check done and we pay for that.
