Job summary

Macfarlane Packaging is seeking an Internal Sales Coordinator at The Waterfront Newburn Riverside, Newcastle Upon Tyne. You will support a high-performing sales team by handling enquiries, processing orders and reviving lapsed accounts to drive order progression.

You’ll work with Sales Executives, use MS Dynamics CRM and Microsoft Office to track leads and customer records, and ensure timely order fulfilment.

Qualifications

• 12 months’ experience in a sales coordination/administration or support role.
• Experience handling customer enquiries and outbound calls in a phone-based environment.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with a friendly, professional manner.
• Strong organisational abilities with keen eye for detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with CRM systems (MS Dynamics advantageous).

Responsibilities

• Support sales growth by managing and streamlining order progression and customer communications.
• Use CRM (MS Dynamics) to track leads, update records, and monitor sales activity.
• Proactively contact lapsed or underutilised accounts to unlock up-selling and cross-selling opportunities.
• Collaborate with Sales Executives, purchasing, and logistics to ensure timely order fulfilment.
• Handle customer enquiries and process orders with precision to maintain service excellence.
