Job summary

Macfarlane Packaging is seeking a Sales Coordinator to join the Waterfront Newburn Riverside team in Newcastle upon Tyne. The role supports the sales function, processes orders, and maintains customer communications. 37.5 hours Mon-Fri with a salary up to £30,000 plus bonuses, alongside flexible benefits.

You will use MS Dynamics to track leads, update records, and monitor activity, and collaborate with purchasing and logistics to ensure timely order fulfilment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 months’ experience in a sales coordination, administration, or support role.
• Proven track record in handling customer enquiries and outbound calls in a phone-based environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with CRM systems (MS Dynamics is advantageous).

Responsibilities

• Supporting sales growth by managing and streamlining order progression and customer communications.
• Using our CRM system (MS Dynamics) to track leads, update customer records, and monitor sales activity.
• Proactively contacting lapsed or underutilised accounts to unlock opportunities for up-selling and cross-selling.
• Collaborating with Sales Executives, purchasing, and logistics teams to ensure timely order fulfilment.
• Handling customer enquiries and processing orders with precision to maintain service excellence.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Familiarity with the packaging or distribution sector is a plus.
