Qualifications

• Experience in business development or sales.
• Knowledge of crane hire/plant hire or construction equipment industry preferred.
• Willingness to travel and hold a current driving licence.
• Strong IT literacy.

Responsibilities

• Achieve hire sales targets in the assigned territory.
• Develop new business opportunities and visit prospective customers.
• Manage and grow existing customer base across sites.
• Prepare quotes and drive them through to conversion.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure exceptional customer service.
• Drive sales for the hire fleet and build relationships.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Sales Manager to join a well-established and growing rental organisation.

This is a forward-thinking business that is entering an exciting period of expansion, having recently opened a brand-new facility in Bedfordshire. As part of this continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Sales Manager to play a key role in driving rental sales, revenue and customer growth across the Bedfordshire depot and wider Southern operation.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven sales professional to join a growing business at an exciting stage of its development, with the opportunity to make a real impact on the continued success of the region.

Responsibilities of the Role:

• Achieving agreed hire sales targets within the assigned territory
• Supporting sales opportunities within the company CRM system
• Identifying new business opportunities
• Visiting prospective customers to build relationships
• Managing an existing customer base by visiting sites and keeping relationships alive
• Raising quotes for new hire jobs, managing the process to conversion
• Liaising with the rest of the team to ensure our customer service is exceptional
• Driving new business relationships, identifying opportunities, and delivering sales for the hire fleet.

Requirements of Role:

• Proven experience in a Business Development, Sales, or a Commercial role
• Knowledge of the Crane Hire, Plant Hire, Powered Access, or Construction Equipment industry is essential
• Be willing to travel & hold a current Driving Licence
• Strong level of IT literacy
