Job title: Sales Executive (Maternity cover)

Reports to: Trading Manager

Location: Leek Staffordshire

Contract: This is a temporary contract to cover maternity cover approx. 12 months

Salary: Generous salary available depending upon experience

Hours: Monday to Friday 36.25 hours per week

Ornua is actively seeking a Sales Executive to join our technical department as we continue our growth trajectory.

The Sales Executive will play a key role in building and developing customer accounts as guided by the Trading Manager to create business opportunities within the UK Food Manufacturing and Food Service industry. Assisting the team with supply chain and warehousing constraints. Assisting the Technical Manager with non-conformances, customer set up, maintenance of customer approvals.

Why This Role Is Valuable

As our Sales Executive you will;

  • Create and build new relationships within key market sectors based on customer needs.
  • Develop relationships with key decision makers (buyer types) at customer level across functions.
  • Oversee customer account management including negotiating contracts and agreements to maximise profit.
  • Research and understand key market (UK, EU, Oceania) data to help assist make informed decisions on current or future trading patterns.
  • Forecast projected volumes per customer per SKU.
  • Report the forward book position to directly inform the Trading manager and General Manager of Ornua Nutrition Ingredients UK.
  • Assist with the recall/crisis team as directed by the Technical Manager.
  • Assist the Technical Manager with non-conformances, customer set up and approvals.
  • Operate to current Quality & Food Safety policies and procedures relevant to the role as included within the QMS.
  • Undertake training on the Food Safety & Quality Policy and other Policies within the QMS as required.
  • Other tasks that are relevant for the role.
What You Bring To The Role
  • Strong business acumen and a positive "can do" attitude.
  • Ability to negotiate and influence customers and key stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Experience of ERP systems such as M3 and Power BI desirable but not essential.
