Overview

This is the opportunity for a head of sales to lead our Magicard sales function. The Sales Director will be responsible for overseeing aspects of our commercial operations, including sales, business/channel development and customer relationships. They will work closely with the GM and cross‑functional teams to drive revenue growth, expand market share, and enhance the overall profitability of the organisation; collaborating closely with Product Development, Engineering/R&D and Marketing departments. They will be responsible for executing a comprehensive sales and commercial strategy for Magicard products. They will develop additional and complimentary business channels in parallel to Magicard's traditional multi‑tiered distributor model. They will spearhead the sales growth and market penetration in existing and new markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive strategic decision‑making, such as setting long‑term commercial goals, identifying growth opportunities and negotiating key deals.
  • Capitalise on scalable opportunities across both new and existing accounts, driving revenue growth.
  • Develop targeted tactics to penetrate and retain key accounts, maximising revenue potential and ensuring long‑term customer satisfaction.
  • Lead, mentor and develop the sales team across global regions and differing cultures, enhancing accountability and continuous learning.
  • Stay ahead of the curve of evolving market trends, competitor activities and customer requirements, adjusting commercial strategies accordingly to maintain competitiveness and relevance, and think outside the box.
  • Collaborate closely with various departments to maximise revenue generation and profitability, taking a holistic approach to deliver commercial success and aligning strategies with broader business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain accurate sales forecasts, budgets and key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Champion the use of CRM and sales enablement tools to drive data‑informed decision‑making.
  • Capture and communicate customer needs and feedback to the innovation team.
Required Skills and Competencies
  • Proven track record of successful commercial leadership roles within the similar technology sector and/or ID card market.
  • Strong business acumen with a deep understanding of sales, marketing and business development principles.
  • Excellent strategic thinking, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to self‑motivate, motivate others and inspire teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and nurture relationships with customers, partners and stakeholders.

Ideally you will be based in the UK from home, within reach of Brady offices in Weymouth, Banbury or Stockport.
