As a global, private equity-backed corporate business, we operate at a fast pace, serving demanding customers in the construction, healthcare, and education markets.

Position: Regional Sales Director / Operations Director

Location: Home-based, covering the North West of England, including Liverpool, Manchester, Stoke-on-Trent, Wolverhampton, Birmingham, Chester, Crewe, Derby, Stockport, Bolton, etc.

Salary: GBP110,000 – GBP130,000 + 30% STIP

Job Description: As a Regional Sales and Operations Director, you will oversee the strategic and operational direction of your region, managing 4–6 depots with a combined P&L of circa GBP80 million and EBITDA of GBP30 million. You will lead a team of 7–10 direct and indirect reports, focusing on people development, sales growth, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage commercial operations across multiple depots, ensuring profitable growth and operational efficiency.
  • Lead, coach, and motivate your team, emphasizing development and succession planning.
  • Implement sales strategies targeting major clients, including construction contractors.
  • Promote a safety-first culture, driving transformational change with an emphasis on safety, quality, and service.

Person Specification:

  • Proven experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or construction-related environment within a larger corporation.
  • Experience leading 5–10 direct reports and 60+ indirect team members.
  • Strong leadership style characterized by visibility, approachability, and accountability.
  • Control of a GBP20 million+ P&L with a focus on profitable growth.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement, transformational change, and M&A integration.
