As a global, private equity-backed corporate business, we operate at a fast pace with demanding customers, supplying into the construction, healthcare, and education markets. We are seeking a Regional Sales Director / Operations Director to oversee approximately £80 million P&L across the North-West of England. The role requires collaborative leadership, strategic awareness, and a balanced sales and operations background.

Basic Salary & Benefits

Location

Home-based, with commutable locations across the North West of the UK, including Liverpool, Manchester, Stoke-on-Trent, Wolverhampton, Birmingham, Chester, Crewe, Derby, Stockport, Bolton, etc.

Job Description

The Regional Sales & Operations Director will direct operational and strategic activities for the region, ensuring smooth operations and driving growth. The ideal candidate will possess strong commercial acumen, strategic planning skills, and experience in process transformation while exceeding customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage commercial operations across 4-6 depot locations, with circa £80 million P&L and £30 million EBITDA, overseeing teams focused on sales and operations.
  • Lead, coach, motivate, and develop a team of 7-10 direct and 60+ indirect colleagues, emphasizing people development and succession planning.
  • Implement sales strategies to ensure profitable growth with key clients, including major construction contractors.
  • Promote a safety-first culture, leading transformational change with an emphasis on safety, service, quality, cost, and delivery.
Person Specification

  • Fast-paced manufacturing or related industries such as construction, food, automotive, pharmaceuticals, preferably within larger corporations.

  • Managing a £20 million+ P&L with a focus on profitable growth.
  • Experience with continuous improvement, transformational change, and M&A integration.
