Job summary

Octane Recruitment is seeking an experienced Sales Controller for our Hinckley-based used car supermarket. You will lead a busy sales team, drive vehicle sales, oversee negotiations, and ensure FCA-compliant processes across daily showroom operations.

Ideal candidates have strong leadership, a proven track record in high-volume used car sales, and hold a full UK driving licence. Weekend availability is required, with two weekdays off.

Qualifications

• Previous used car sales experience in automotive industry.
• Experience leading or managing a vehicle sales team.
• Full UK Driving Licence and right to work in the UK.
• FCA compliance knowledge and accreditation desirable.
• Experience within a high-volume dealership or used car supermarket is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and support the sales team to achieve vehicle sales targets.
• Support Sales Executives with customer negotiations and closing deals.
• Maximise vehicle sales, finance penetration and additional product opportunities.
• Monitor sales performance, conversion rates and deal profitability.
• Coach Sales Executives to improve sales performance and customer experience.
• Support the management team with daily showroom operations.
• Ensure all sales documentation and processes meet FCA compliance requirements.

Sales Controller – Hinckley
We are recruiting for an experienced Sales Controller, Used Car Sales Controller or Automotive Sales Controller to join a busy used car supermarket in Hinckley. Applicants must have previous used car sales experience and experience leading or managing an automotive sales team, hold a Full UK Driving Licence and have the right to work in the UK. Experience within a high-volume dealership or used car supermarket is desirable.
Location: Hinckley, Leicestershire
Salary: £30,000 Basic + Uncapped Commission
OTE: £60,000
Hours: 42.5 hours per week | Every Saturday and Sunday essential, with 2 days off during the week
Monday to Friday: Rota basis between 10:00am–9:00pm
Saturday: 10:00am–8:00pm
Sunday: 10:00am–6:00pm

• Experience within a high-volume dealership or used car supermarket is desirable
• Full UK Driving Licence and right to work in the UK
• Must be available to work every Saturday and Sunday, with 2 days off during the week
• FCA accreditation or willingness to complete training
