Job description

Job Title: Sales Administrator

Smiths (Gloucester) Ltd, a family-owned construction and waste management company operating across the South-West of England, is seeking a motivated Sales Administrator to join our team. We specialize in demolition, construction, asbestos removal, transport, plant hire, and waste management.

Job Purpose

Handle sales inquiries via email and phone, respond to customer queries professionally and promptly, manage invoicing, and work closely with the Logistics Coordinator to meet customer requirements.

Working Hours

8am-5pm Monday-Friday, with occasional Saturdays (1 in 78 weeks, 8am-12pm).

Salary

£32,000 plus performance bonus.

Responsibilities
  • Engage with customers through sales inquiries via telephone or email.
  • Handle invoicing and customer queries.
  • Manage the division’s email inbox efficiently.
  • Achieve targeted KPIs.
  • Assist in market research and decision-making.
  • Advise customers on construction materials and site removals.
  • Quote rates and vehicle availability confidently.
  • Create customer sales on digital platforms.
  • Prepare proforma invoices and process credit card payments.
  • Liaise with external bodies regarding material reports.
  • Communicate professionally with team members.
