Job summary

Plumb Centre, part of the Wolseley Group, is expanding a new Leicester branch and seeking a Sales Assistant / Delivery Driver. You will drive a 3.5T van, assist on the trade counter, handle inquiries, and help grow branch sales while maintaining high standards.

The role requires a full UK driving licence and a proactive, customer-focused attitude; warehouse duties and heavy lifting are part of the job. 40 hours weekly, Mon-Fri 7am-5pm, Saturdays on rota.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence is essential.
• Face to face customer service experience is essential.
• Warehouse experience is advantageous.
• Good computer skills and ability to lift heavy items.

Responsibilities

As a Sales Assistant / Delivery Driver based in a brand new branch in Leicester you’ll be responsible for:

• Driving a 3.5T van delivering plumbing and heating supplies to our customers in the local area.
• Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing product recommendations
• Responding to customer enquiries via phone & email promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude
• Proactively contacting customers to build relationships and drive branch sales particularly focusing on customers with reduced or inactive spending
• Assisting with general warehouse duties including picking & packing customer orders, unpacking and putting away deliveries which will involve manual handling of heavy items e.g. boilers, radiators, sinks and toilets
• Ensuring high standards are maintained in the branch

This is a full time permanent role working 40 hours per week Monday - Friday between 07.00am - 5.00pm and Saturdays on a rota basis 8.00am - 12.00pm.

• Previous Face to Face customer service is essential
• Prior warehouse experience would be ideal
