Job summary

Wolseley UK Limited Morecambe (Plumb Centre) is seeking a Sales Assistant to help trade customers at the counter, advise on plumbing products and support local deliveries.

This full-time role runs Monday to Friday 8am-5pm. The salary is £26,695 plus bonus and a range of benefits including pension, annual leave, healthcare, discounts, and access to YuLife and Cycle to Work schemes.

Qualifications

• Face-to-face sales or customer service experience is required.
• Excellent communication and a customer-first approach.
• Team player willing to support in all areas of the branch.
• Willingness to learn with an enthusiastic approach.
• Full UK Manual Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers at the trade counter by understanding their needs and providing product recommendations.
• Drive 3.5t van for local deliveries to customers daily.
• Handle customer enquiries via phone and email with a positive attitude, building strong relationships.
• Carry out general warehouse duties including picking and packing orders and stock handling.
• Merchandise displays to a high standard in the branch.

Responsibilities

• Assisting customers at the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing product recommendations.
• Driving 3.5t van doing local deliveries to customers daily
• Handling customer enquiries via phone and email with a positive, proactive attitude, building strong customer relationships and ensuring excellent customer service.
• Carrying out general warehouse duties, including picking and packing customer orders and unpacking stock to be booked in on our system and put away in the warehouse
• Merchandising displays to a high standard in the branch.

This is a full time, permanent role - Monday to Friday between 8am - 5pm.

• Knowledge in plumbing & heating is beneficial
• Proven experience in a face to face sales/customer service position
• Great communication skills and a customer-first approach
• Great team player and willing to support in all areas of the branch
