Plumb Centre in Swindon (SN2 8QE) is hiring a Sales Assistant to join our Swindon branch. You will drive a 3.5T van to deliver to customers, assist trade customers at the counter with expert advice and recommendations, and handle enquiries by phone and email with a proactive attitude.

The role involves outbound calls to previous customers, identifying sales opportunities, and assisting in warehouse tasks such as stock entry and order picking.

• Previous face-to-face sales experience is essential.

Responsibilities

• Drive a 3.5T automatic van delivering to customers in the local area.
• Serve customers at the trade counter with product advice and recommendations.
• Respond to customer enquiries by phone and email promptly and courteously.
• Make outbound calls to previous customers to regain business.
• Identify and pursue sales opportunities to drive branch performance.
• Perform warehouse duties including stock booking, put-away and order picking with manual handling.

As a Sales Assistant based in our Swindon branch you'll be responsible for:

• Driving a 3.5T automatic van making deliveries to customers in the local area
• Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing advice and product recommendations
• Responding to customer enquiries via phone & email promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude
• Making outbound phone calls to previous customers to regain their business
• Actively identifying and pursuing opportunities to drive sales within the branch, engaging both new and existing customers
• General warehouse duties including booking incoming stock onto the system and putting it away and picking and packing customer orders which will involve manual handling heavy stock e.g. boilers, radiators, sinks and toilets

This is a full time time permanent role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08.00am - 5.00pm and alternate Saturday mornings 08.00am - 12.00pm.
