Job summary

Plumb Centre in Northampton is seeking a Sales Assistant to support branch operations and deliver outstanding customer service. You will drive a 3.5t van for local deliveries and assist customers at the trade counter with product recommendations.

You will handle inquiries by phone and email, maintaining strong customer relationships and ensuring smooth order processing. This full-time role includes early hours and occasional Saturday work.

Qualifications

• Knowledge in plumbing & heating is beneficial
• Full UK Manual Driving Licence
• Proven experience in a face to face sales/customer service position
• Confident with Van driving
• Great communication skills and a customer-first approach
• Great team player and willing to support in all areas of the branch

Responsibilities

• Driving 3.5t van for branch deliveries and collections to local customers
• Assisting customers at the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing product recommendations
• Handling customer enquiries via phone and email with a positive, proactive attitude, building strong customer relationships and ensuring excellent customer service
• Carrying out general warehouse duties, including picking and packing customer orders and unpacking stock to be booked in on our system and put away in the warehouse

Responsibilities:

Contract: This is a full time, 40 hour permanent role - Monday to Friday between 6:30am - 3:30pm and one Saturday per month, 08:00 - 12.00pm (paid as overtime) once trained.
