Job summary

Wolseley Group, via Plumb Centre in Glasgow, is seeking a Sales Assistant to support trade customers and manage local deliveries. This full-time position requires a proactive; customer-focused approach and the ability to work as part of a small team.

You will assist at the counter, respond to inquiries by phone and email, and contribute to branch sales growth while handling warehouse tasks and merchandising. 40 hours per week, Mon-Fri, 08:00–17:00, with bonus opportunities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in sales and customer service.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence speaking with customers.
• Hands-on approach and initiative in a small team.
• Eagerness to learn with a positive attitude.
• Full UK Manual Driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers at the trade counter with product recommendations.
• Drive a 3.5t van to deliver customer orders.
• Handle inquiries by phone and email promptly and courteously.
• Deliver excellent service and build strong relationships with customers and suppliers.
• Proactively seek opportunities to grow sales within the branch.
