Job summary

Plumb Centre Bolton, part of the Wolseley Group, seeks a proactive Sales Assistant to serve trade customers and advise on products. You’ll handle phone/email enquiries, pursue repeat business, and support the branch with stock handling and packing.

The role is full-time at Bolton, 40 hours weekly, Mon-Fri 08:00–17:00 with occasional Sat mornings, with benefits including pension, annual leave, and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• A driving licence is beneficial.
• Plumbing & heating knowledge is ideal.
• Previous face-to-face sales and customer service experience.
• Warehouse experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve customers on the trade counter and provide product recommendations.

As a **Sales Assistant** based in our **Bolton** branch you’ll be responsible for: * Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing advice and product recommendations* Responding to customer enquiries via phone & email promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude* Making outbound phone calls to previous customers to regain their business* Actively identifying and pursuing opportunities to drive sales within the branch, engaging both new and existing customers* General warehouse duties including booking incoming stock onto the system and putting it away and picking and packing customer orders which will involve manual handling heavy stock e.g. boilers, radiators, sinks and toilets* Driving a 3.5T automatic van making deliveries to customers local to the branch This is a full time time permanent role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08.00am - 5.00pm with the occasional Saturday morning 08.00am - 12.00pm. **And here’s what we’d like you to have:** * A Driving Licence is beneficial* Plumbing & Heating knowledge is ideal* Previous Face to Face sales and customer service experience* Warehouse experience* The ability to deliver outstanding customer service* To be a team player who is happy to assist in all areas to ensure the smooth running of the branch* Eagerness to learn, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude and a strong work ethic **We look forward to receiving your application!**
