Job summary

Wolseley UK Limited is hiring a Sales Assistant for the Wallsend Plumb Centre. Based at the Wallsend branch, you will assist customers at the trade counter, handle enquiries by phone and email, and support warehouse tasks while ensuring excellent service.

The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, with salary of £26,695 plus bonus and benefits, and opportunities to develop skills within a large plumbing and heating group.

Qualifications

• Experience in face-to-face sales or customer service.
• Excellent communication and customer-first approach.
• Team-oriented and willing to support all branch tasks.
• Willingness to learn and enthusiasm.
• Knowledge of plumbing & heating is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers at the trade counter with product recommendations.

• Perform general warehouse duties including picking, packing and stocking.
• Merchandise displays to a high standard in the branch.

Sales Assistant - Wallsend - Plumb Centre

As a Sales Assistant based in our Wallsend branch you’ll be responsible for:

• Assisting customers at the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing product recommendations.
• Handling customer enquiries via phone and email with a positive, proactive attitude, building strong customer relationships and ensuring excellent customer service.
• Carrying out general warehouse duties, including picking and packing customer orders and unpacking stock to be booked in on our system and put away in the warehouse, and merchandising displays to a high standard in the branch.

This is a full time, permanent role - Monday to Friday between 8am - 5pm.

We’d like you to have:

• Knowledge in plumbing & heating is beneficial
• Proven experience in a face to face sales/customer service position
• Great communication skills and a customer-first approach
• Great team player and willing to support in all areas of the branch
• Willingness to learn with an enthusiastic approach
