Job summary

Vanta Staffing are recruiting a Sales Administrator to join their team in Basingstoke, Hampshire on a temp-to-perm basis. The role is full-time, 08:00–17:00, Monday to Friday, with a starting salary of £13.25 per hour (approx £28,000 on successful permanent placement).

You will support sales and branch operations, handle enquiries, process orders and maintain records, while delivering a high level of customer service within a growing, employee-owned business.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within sales administration, office administration, customer service or a similar role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• A proactive approach and the ability to use your own initiative.
• Strong IT skills, including good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
• The ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a busy environment.
• A positive, flexible and team-focused attitude.
• A genuine commitment to providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer enquiries via telephone, email and in person in a professional and timely manner.
• Process customer orders, quotations, enquiries and returns accurately and efficiently.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with customers and colleagues.
• Handle customer complaints and resolve issues effectively, escalating where appropriate.
• Provide administrative support to the General Manager and wider branch team.
• Assist with data entry, reporting and document management.
• Support the branch with statutory, regulatory, Health & Safety and compliance requirements.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure information is kept up to date.
• Assist with general sales and administrative duties as required by the General Manager and Sales Supervisor.
• Work collaboratively with the wider team to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the branch.
