Job summary

Agincare Weymouth is looking for a Home Carer to support people at home with daily routines, personal care, meals and companionship, helping to maintain dignity and independence.

No prior care experience is required—just the right attitude. We offer fully funded training up to QCF level 5, 48 guaranteed hours, a £32,500 annual salary plus mileage paid at 32p per mile, a company pension and on‑demand pay.

Qualifications

• No prior care experience required; the right attitude and caring nature are valued.
• Willingness to undertake funded training to QCF level 5.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a car are essential.

Responsibilities

• Support people with daily routines, shopping, meals and personal care.
• Provide companionship and a listening ear in the client’s home.
• Assist with medications as directed and ensure safety at home.

The Role of a Home Carer:

• Supporting people with their daily routines, including household tasks and personal care
• Helping with shopping, preparing nutritious meals, and making a comforting cup of tea
• Providing companionship, a listening ear, and friendly conversation
• Helping with medication

About you:

Above all, we’re looking for someone kind, compassionate, and genuinely passionate about helping others.You don’t need previous care experience or qualifications; if you have the right attitude and a caring nature, we can teach you the rest.

You’ll bring:

• A warm, caring, and compassionate approach to supporting others
• Strong people skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships
• A supportive, professional, and team-focused mindset
• A minimum of 12 months remaining on your right to work in the UK (please note we are currently unable to offer sponsorship)
• A full UK driving licence - access to your own car - Required
