Job summary

Agincare Weymouth is seeking a Home Care Assistant to support clients in their own homes around Weymouth. You’ll help with daily routines, meals and personal care, while offering companionship and a friendly, respectful presence.

We provide fully funded training up to QCF level 5, guaranteed 48 hours, and a welcoming environment. A UK driving licence and flexibility to work weekends are desirable as part of our team-orientated care delivery.

The Role of a Home Carer

• Supporting people with their daily routines, including household tasks and personal care
• Helping with shopping, preparing nutritious meals, and making a comforting cup of tea
• Providing companionship, a listening ear, and friendly conversation
• Helping with medication

About you

Above all, we’re looking for someone kind, compassionate, and genuinely passionate about helping others. You don’t need previous care experience or qualifications; if you have the right attitude and a caring nature, we can teach you the rest.

You’ll bring:

• A warm, caring, and compassionate approach to supporting others
• Strong people skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships
• A supportive, professional, and team-focused mindset
• A minimum of 12 months remaining on your right to work in the UK (please note we are currently unable to offer sponsorship)
• A full UK driving licence - access to your own car - Required
• Flexibility to work alternating weekends
