Agincare Weymouth is seeking a Home Care Assistant in Bridgwater to help people live independently at home with dignity and warmth.

You will provide daily support, companionship, and personal care, while building a rewarding career in community care. No prior experience required; full training is provided, and you’ll join a friendly team committed to compassionate, person-centred care.

Qualifications

• Kind, compassionate and passionate about helping others.
• No prior care experience required; training provided.
• Full UK driving licence; right to work in the UK with at least 12 months remaining.
• Willingness to work weekends and sleeping night shifts (10pm-7am).

Responsibilities

• Support daily routines and personal care.
• Assist with shopping, meals, and making tea.
• Provide companionship and a listening ear.

The Role of a Home Carer:

• Supporting people with their daily routines, including household tasks and personal care
• Helping with shopping, preparing nutritious meals, and making a comforting cup of tea
• Providing companionship, a listening ear, and friendly conversation
• Helping with medication

About you:

Above all, we're looking for someone kind, compassionate, and genuinely passionate about helping others. You don't need previous care experience or qualifications; if you have the right attitude and a caring nature, we can teach you the rest.

You'll bring:

• A warm, caring, and compassionate approach to supporting others
• Strong people skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships
• A supportive, professional, and team-focused mindset
• A minimum of 12 months remaining on your right to work in the UK (please note we are currently unable to offer sponsorship)
• A full UK driving licence
• Flexibility to work alternating weekends
• Availability for Sleeping Nights shifts (10pm-7am)
