Norfolk County Council is seeking a Safeguarding Support Assistant to join the Independent Statutory Services, Assurance & Practice team at County Hall, Norwich. You will work across Attendance, Children Missing Education and Education Safeguarding to support delivery of statutory duties and promote child welfare.
The role requires initiative, accuracy and good IT skills, with an Enhanced DBS with Barred List Check.

The successful candidate will be expected to work across the Attendance, Children Missing Education and Education Safeguarding, Teams to support the effective delivery of the Local Authority’s statutory duties in these areas to promote the safeguarding and welfare of children.
The post holder will need to work on their own initiative and make decisions whilst working within the statutory framework and NCC procedures. We are looking for an enthusiastic and well organised individual who is efficient, motivated, personable and able to demonstrate a high level of accuracy and IT skills. The candidate must have excellent communication skills, demonstrate initiative, work collaboratively with other colleagues and be able to work under pressure and prioritise workloads.
Adaptability, flexibility, and a willingness to learn new skills, are key to this role.
As the postholder will be required to offer administrative support to the delivery of Operation Encompass at certain times, the post holder will be required to successfully complete an Enhanced DBS with Barred List Check.
