Job summary

Norfolk County Council is seeking a Practice Coordinator to provide essential administrative support to the Family Help Care and Protection service in Norwich. The role supports Team Managers and Social Care Practitioners, enabling more direct work with children and families. Strong ICT skills, data interpretation, and excellent customer service are required.

Flexible working options include flexi-time, part-time, remote and hybrid arrangements depending on the role and business needs.

Practice Coordinator | 9834 | Permanent Contract |Part-time 18.5 hours per week | £25,583 to £25,989 pro rata per annum | Grade D | County Hall

Working days Wednesday AM, Thursday and Friday all day

An opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and well-organised individual to provide administrative support to the Family Help Care and Protection service.

In this role, you will provide support and assistance to operational Team Managers and Social Care Practitioners, enabling them to spend more time undertaking direct work with children, young people and families.

You will have a high level of customer service, good organisational skills, with the ability to work to tight deadlines, prioritise work and problem solve.

You will be able to communicate effectively at all levels, explain technical issues in plain English and have skills in analysing and interpreting data.

Excellent keyboard and ICT skills in Word, Excel and databases are also necessary.

You will have the ability to organise meetings, take and produce minutes.

You will also have an awareness of data protection and information management.

Effective operational support is a vital element to the success of Children’s Services. You will be committed to delivering a first-class level of support, proactive as well as positive, and will provide a focused, consistent business support service to managers and staff.
