Job summary

Norfolk County Council is seeking a Safeguarding Support Assistant to join the Independent Statutory Services, Assurance & Practice team at County Hall, Norwich. You will work across Attendance, Children Missing Education and Education Safeguarding to support delivery of statutory duties and promote child welfare.

The role requires initiative, accuracy and good IT skills, with an Enhanced DBS with Barred List Check.

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills and IT proficiency.
  • Ability to work across Attendance, CME and Education Safeguarding teams.

Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of the Local Authority’s safeguarding duties across Attendance, CME and Education Safeguarding teams.
  • Work on own initiative within the statutory framework and NCC procedures.
