Job summary

Cardiff Metropolitan University is replacing its Student Record System with a cloud-based platform. The Configuration Analyst will configure the new system using no-code tools, collaborate with the supplier and SMEs, and translate business processes into working configuration.

You will document decisions, maintain configuration logs, and participate in iterative build sessions to ensure the system aligns with agreed processes and requirements before go-live.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience configuring enterprise software, ideally SaaS/ERP, to defined business requirements.
• Ability to translate process designs into working configuration and document decisions clearly.
• Strong written and verbal communication, with collaboration across SMEs and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Configure the Student Record System in line with standard processes and out-of-the-box functionality.
• Collaborate with vendor, SMEs and technical teams to validate and implement configurations.
• Translate process outputs and specs into working system builds with thorough configuration logs.
• Participate in iterative configuration workshops and incorporate feedback into builds.
• Report progress, risks and issues to the Project Manager and maintain status records.

Education

Bachelor's or equivalent in IT/CS/Business Information Systems
