Job summary

St John Ambulance is seeking a Technical Solution Designer to help replace our legacy training management platform. You will gain a deep understanding of the current system, its data flows and integrations, working with Training, Finance, Digital, Data and Technology teams and external suppliers.

You will drive discovery, document requirements and map processes to modernise ways of working, ultimately supporting the procurement and implementation of a SaaS solution.

Qualifications

• Experience in solution design, business analysis or similar technology-focused roles.
• Strong analytical skills; can understand complex systems, processes and data flows.
• Able to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders to translate requirements into solutions.
• Experience mapping and documenting business processes and technical landscapes.

Responsibilities

• Develop a detailed understanding of the current training platform, its functionality, integrations and data flows.
• Lead discovery and analysis to understand capabilities, challenges and future needs.
• Collaborate with Training, Finance, Digital, Data and Technology to gather requirements.
• Map current and future processes to simplify, improve and modernise ways of working.
• Document the landscape to support procurement and replacement solution selection.
• Evaluate SaaS options with external suppliers and partners for suitability.
• Provide technical insight during solution selection and implementation.
• Support transition from legacy to the new solution addressing business, technical and operational requirements.
