Job summary

Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust is advertising a Rotational Ward Clerk for the Same Day Emergency Care Unit. This Band 2 role is 30 hours per week on a permanent basis, with a shift pattern across 7 days and hours typically 08:00 to 20:00.

The post involves providing a comprehensive ward reception and admin service, updating Lorenzo EPR, and supporting patients, relatives and staff as a first point of contact while working flexibly to cover essential inpatient services.

Qualifications

• Experience in ward administration and patient-facing reception duties.
• Ability to work flexibly across a 7-day shift pattern.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive ward reception and administration services.
• Update the Trust's Lorenzo EPR accurately and in real time.
• Support patients, relatives and staff as a first point of contact.
• Work across varied hours (7am–9pm) as required.
