Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Ward Clerk (Band 2) for the Maternity Ward in Southend, Westcliff on Sea. This full-time role offers 37.5 hours per week with a 24/7 shift pattern and flexibility.

The post involves reception and admin duties, note tracking, scanning, Medway data input, appointment handling, baby packs and discharge tasks, working with midwives and physicians to ensure smooth ward operation.

Qualifications

• Good communication skills and a professional attitude.
• Experience within the NHS and understanding of NHS processes.
• Familiarity with computer systems used in NHS settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient reception and administrative support on the Maternity Ward.
• Track patient notes, scan documents and input data on Medway.
• Handle outpatients and appointments, liaising with midwives and doctors.
• Assist with baby packs and patient discharge.
