Job summary

Thornbury Castle, a Relais & Châteaux property, seeks an Assistant Restaurant Manager to lead the award-winning F&B team. You will oversee operations across breakfast, tea, dinner and functions up to 80 guests, ensuring service at the Relais & Châteaux standard.

Based in the historic castle setting with 26 rooms and a renowned restaurant, you will develop staff, manage HR tasks and maintain high guest satisfaction with a calm, proactive approach.

Qualifications

• Rosette-level service experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, wines and spirits is expected.
• Excellent guest service skills under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Support the Food & Beverage Operations Manager in running the department.
• Manage breakfast, afternoon tea, dinner and events up to 80 guests.
• Take ownership in the absence of the F&B Operations Manager.
• Supervise and train staff; manage rotas and recruitment.
