Job summary

Thornbury Castle Hotel is seeking an Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our dedicated Food & Beverage team, delivering memorable 5* hospitality in a Relais & Châteaux setting.

This full‑time role is 40 hours per week, mainly evening shifts and weekends. You will support the Food & Beverage Operations Manager, oversee service up to 80 guests, ensure Rosette standards, and guide staff in delivering refined, personalized guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Eligible to work in the UK.
• Relais & Châteaux or AA Rosette experience/desirable.
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, wines and spirits with a relevant qualification preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the F&B Operations Manager in running the department (breakfast, afternoon tea, dinner and functions).
• Take accountability for all F&B operations in the absence of the F&B Operations Manager.
• Ensure procedures meet Relais & Châteaux / Rosette standards.
• Answer menu queries and make recommendations to guests.
• Own guest requirements and dietary restrictions; handle queries calmly and professionally.
