Job summary

KM Recruitment is seeking a Roofer / Waterproofing Specialist Trainer (Trainee or Qualified) to work centre-based in the West Midlands. Salary up to £45,000 with excellent holiday entitlement and mileage benefits.

This full-time, permanent role offers full training to become a qualified assessor and the chance to guide roofing apprentices. You will assess learners, deliver training, support Functional Skills to Level 2, manage your diary, and help learners through End Point Assessments in a

• Solid occupational competency within Roofing (waterproofing).
• Willingness to work towards teaching/assessing qualification (D32/D33, A1, TAQA or CAVA).
• Centre-based trainer/assessor role in a UK centre.

Responsibilities

• Assess and support learners toward Level 2 Roofing apprenticeships (Waterproofing).
• Deliver full training and support Functional Skills – Maths, English and ICT to Level 2.
• Motivate learners and manage your diary to ensure timely reviews and completions.
• Support learners through the End Point Assessment process and document progress.
• Organise and maintain documentation on learners’ progress.
• Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learners’ needs.

Are you an experienced roofer in the Walsall area with strong skills in waterproofing?

This is a great opportunity to take your career in a new direction, and use the knowledge you’ve built on-site to guide the next generation of roofing apprentices!

You’ll receive full training to become a qualified assessor, along with excellent support, and the chance to develop professionally in a centre-based role.

Duties:

• Assess and support learners working towards full Apprenticeships in Roofing (level 2), specialising in Waterproofing.
• Deliver full training and support learners through their Functional Skills – Maths, English and ICT to level 2.
• Ensure sessions are motivating,engaging and develop learners'skills knowledge and behaviours
• Managing your diary efficiently to ensure timely reviews and completions.
• Support learners through the End Point Assessment Process.
• Organise and maintain documentation on learners’ progress.
• Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner’s needs.

Essential Criteria:

• Must hold solid occupational competency within Roofing (specifically waterproofing).
• Ideally hold (or willing to work towards) a recognised teaching/assessing qualification: D32/D33, A1, TAQA or CAVA.

Personal Skills:

• Organisational skills are a must, as well as the ability to plan your time effectively.
• Confident and professional with the ability to inspire and motivate people.
• Quality driven and prepared to go the extra mile for your learners.
