Job summary

KM Recruitment is seeking a Carpentry Tutor (Trainee or Qualified) to join our client in a Norfolk centre-based role. You will teach and assess learners working toward a Level 2 Carpentry qualification in a classroom setting, ensuring sessions are motivating and engaging.

Key requirements include IT literacy, a Level 2 NVQ in Carpentry, and the ability to inspire learners. Driving licence with access to a vehicle is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be IT literate and able to use standard software.
• Must hold your own Level 2 NVQ in Carpentry.
• Experience delivering vocational training or on-job training is desirable.
• Willingness to work towards PTLLS/AET with employer support.
• Solid occupational competency in Carpentry.
• Confident to deliver training/workshops to groups.

Responsibilities

• Teach/assess learners working toward a Level 2 Carpentry qualification in a classroom environment.
• Make sessions motivating, engaging and develop learners' skills, knowledge and behaviours.
• Monitor student attendance and progress through regular assessment and reviews.
• Provide advice and guidance to learners on decision making and progression.
• Embed Maths and English into sessions.
• Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learners' needs.

Salary: up to £35,000 (Depending on skills and experience)

Essential Criteria:

• Must be IT Literate.
• Must hold your own Level 2 NVQ in Carpentry.
• Experience of delivering vocational training, or on-job training to colleagues/Apprentices, is highly desirable.
• Willingness to work towards PTLLS/AET - fully funded and supported by employer.
• Must hold solid occupational competency within Carpentry.
• Must be confident to deliver training/workshops to groups of learners.
• Full, clean driving licence and access to own vehicle.Duties include:
