Job summary

KM Recruitment is seeking a Plumbing Tutor based in Hemel Hempstead to teach and assess learners working towards Level 2 in Plumbing within a classroom-based environment. The role is centre based and suitable for trainees or qualified tutors, with salary up to £35,000 depending on skills and experience.

You will deliver engaging sessions, integrate Maths and English, monitor attendance, and support progression.

Qualifications

• Must hold Level 3 NVQ in Plumbing.
• Experience delivering vocational training or on-the-job training to colleagues/Apprentices.
• Willingness to work towards PTLLS/AET – fully funded and supported by employer.
• Solid occupational competency within Plumbing.
• Ideally some experience delivering training/workshops to groups of learners.
• Must be IT literate.
• Full UK Driving Licence and use of a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Teach/assess learners working towards a Level 2 vocational qualification in Plumbing within a classroom-based environment.
• Ensure sessions are motivating, engaging and develop learners' skills, knowledge and behaviours.
• Monitor student attendance and progress through regular student assessment and reviews.
• Provide advice and guidance to learners relating to decision making and progression.
• Embedding Maths and English into sessions.
• Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner’s needs.
