We enhance the efficiency of assets, ensuring high availability and reduced maintenance costs through lifecycle services from consulting to decommissioning.

Bilfinger UK is looking for a Temporary Works Engineer to be based on site at Hinkley Point C (HPC) on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and supervise all types of temporary works in line with Bilfinger's temporary works procedures, ensuring safe erection, use, maintenance and dismantling.
  • Delegate and organise tasks to align with the temporary works schedule.
  • Engage with the client and contractors to ensure the temporary works are designed, checked and implemented on site in accordance with relevant drawings, specifications and safety standards.
  • Manage and monitor all temporary works to ensure delivery in line with Bilfinger UK HSEQ policy.
  • Prepare, maintain and regularly review the Temporary Works register to ensure all temporary works and the assigned level of risk are included.
  • Ensure any proposed changes in material or construction are assessed and any agreed changes or corrections are carried out.
  • Work closely with the Site Engineering and Installation team.
  • Propose technical solutions to support installation and the supporting temporary works.
  • Design safe, compliant and cost‑effective solutions.
  • Submit material needs to procurement and logistics in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with UK construction codes and standards.
  • Coordinate with multi‑location and multi‑national teams.
  • Provide input into risk assessments and method statements.
Working Hours & Location

Monday to Friday, 38 hours a week. Full‑time, on site at HPC.
