Job summary

RAC in the United Kingdom is seeking a Superflex Roadside Patrol Technician to deliver expert mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You will diagnose faults, perform quick fixes and reassure members when they need it most.

Working independently with a varied shift pattern including evenings, weekends and peak periods, you’ll use modern diagnostic tools and develop skills through a structured development programme with IMI accreditation

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience.
• 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and repair vehicles roadside.
• Provide top‑quality customer service and reassurance to members.
• Work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and peak periods.
• Use diagnostic technology to identify faults and get members back on the road.
